Analitica - new website and 2014 call for papers

Analitica, new website 

Analitica is the recently renewed online journal of the Italian society for music theory and analysis (GATM - Gruppo Analisi e Teoria Musicale). Its aim is to present a cross-disciplinary perspective on musical analysis, with specific attention to approaches that challenge the established theoretical and methodological boundaries of the discipline. Analitica is broadly interested in a wide range of musical practices, such as—though not limited to—20th and 21st century art, experimental or avant-garde music, popular music, jazz, traditional music, film music, sound and multimedia productions.

Call for papers




We are pleased to announce the 2014 call for papers, under the key words Sound contacts/Contatti sonori. Scholars and musicians are warmly encouraged to submit proposals for a brief contribution. Abstract proposals (250 words, plus a 150-word biographical profile) can be submitted through the website after registration, before the deadline of 31 March 2014.
